“ONGOING” Building Cohesive and Peaceful Communities by Addressing the Root Causes of Social Inequalities and Conflict

This project, funded by UN Women, commenced in August 2023 and is set to continue until July 2026, with implementation focused in the Herat and Badghis provinces. The project aims to address the root causes of social problems and conflict in light of Islamic laws, with a strong emphasis on promoting cohesive and peaceful communities. It seeks to foster a more inclusive and equitable environment, while enhancing social stability and harmony within the targeted areas. Additionally, the project prioritizes improving the health status of women and girls. In total, it directly benefits 6,220 individuals—1,810 males and 4,410 females—and reaches an additional 43,540 indirect beneficiaries, contributing to long-term positive impact across the communities it serves.
